Location of Kuantan in South East Asia.

Kuantan has come a long way since the beginning of the 19 century as well as after Malaysia gain independence from the British in 1957. During the time of the British the capital of Pahang State was moved from Kuala Lipis to Kuantan in 1955.

Today it is a thriving city in the east coast of Malaysia.Its strategic location in SEA with a seaport,a domestic airport and the construction of the east coast railway has enhance its commercial potential. It has expanded fast with new commercial centres like Air Putih and Bandar Indera Mahkota.There are more medical centres,hotels, shopping malls and other facilities like any other cities.Shown below is the latest photos capturing the progress of this city.
